Put it somewhere safe. Properly.
Take a photo of the passport or the policy. Write down where the spare key lives. We read the picture on your phone and fill in the title and the expiry for you to check.

Passports, policies, the boiler manual, where the spare key is. Locked so only you can open it, and always where you left it.
01 / Find it again
Take a photo of the passport or the policy. Write down where the spare key lives. We read the picture on your phone and fill in the title and the expiry for you to check.
One search box. Titles, tags, notes and “where it is” all count. “Bedroom drawer” finds the passport. “Third pot” finds the key.
An “expiring soon” list on the front page and a quiet reminder ninety and thirty days before. Passport, MOT, insurance, warranties.
A shared vault for the boiler manual, the insurance, where the stopcock is. Everyone at home can add to it and search it.
02 / Someone you trust
Name a partner, a grown-up child, a close friend. If you can’t get to your vault, they can ask to open it. You choose who. You choose how long they wait. And nothing opens without you being told.
Neither STNC nor the person you trust can open your vault alone. It takes both, and the wait, and your silence.
03 / How safe
Everything is encrypted on your phone or computer before it goes anywhere, with a passphrase only you know. Our servers hold scrambled data and nothing else.
When you start, you get 24 words to print and keep. Lose the passphrase and the words and the vault is gone for good. We say so plainly because it is true.
No ads, no trackers, no data broker. We cannot see what you keep, so there is nothing for us to sell. STNC is a small studio in England and this is how we prefer it.
The way keys are made, split and shared is written down and the same on every platform. Read the specification.
